We understand training for your race can be overwhelming. One way to achieve your personal best is to take advantage of training support provided by running clubs throughout Houston. Hardloop Endurance Hardloop Endurance is excited to be the official training plan provider for this years Houston Half Marathon & 10k. The programs are designed by local coach and elite athlete Calum Neff and are offered for FREE on a unique, content rich and engaging platform via the Hardloop Endurance website and training app. There is a training plan for each event with three levels, from beginner to advanced, you are able to choose from based on current history, ability, and goals. Each day from August 1st through race day features recommended runs, workouts, exercises, and tips including goal setting and training methods used by elite athletes. The content is delivered in an easy-to-follow calendar via the Hardloop website or phone app full of engaging videos and photos with checkpoints along the way. Coach Cal and the Hardloop Endurance team will answer questions and provide feedback via the forum in addition to live online video sessions and in-person group runs throughout the training buildup.
Private coaching and individualized training programs are also available for monthly subscription year-around where you can work one-on-one with your own running coach, no matter your ability, in addition to a dietician and physical therapist as part of the coaching team. The Houston Striders is one of Houston’s largest running clubs and the founding/organizing club for the Houston Half Marathon & 10K. RRCA certified coaches offer SMART (Striders MARathon Training) for club members of all abilities, and the club hosts four group workouts per week and long runs on Saturdays.
