The Houston Striders Launch 2019 Fleet Feet Houston Half Marathon & 10K Expo
July 22, 2019 (Houston, Texas) – The Houston Striders announced today the addition of the Fleet Feet Houston Half Marathon & 10K Expo. Registered participants for the 2019 Koala Health & Wellness Houston Half Marathon & 10K will be able to pick up their race bib, participant shirts, and browse 40+ vendor booths specializing in runner gear, local charities, new technology and latest endurance products.
The expo is free and open to the public at the Fonde Recreation Center – 110 Sabine St. Houston, Texas 77007 – during the following dates/times:
Friday, October 25, 2019 11am-6pm
Saturday, October 26, 2019 9am-5pm
In addition to these amazing booths and interactive opportunities, the expo hosts packet pick-up. Runners will pick up their packets including the official bib with timing device, participant shirt, and obtain essential event-day information.
Chad Holmes, President of the Houston Striders said, “On behalf of the Houston Striders, I am excited to extend this open invitation for all to take part in our newly added expo. Unlike previous years, we’ve expanded our packet pickup experience to feature an assortment of health and fitness vendors. We also have an expo speaker series and group shakeout run in the works, so you won’t want to miss out on this opportunity! Come pick up your race bib and t-shirt, grab some supplies from Fleet Feet, and meet new friends from Houston and beyond before tackling our fast and flat course on Sunday. See you there!”

Fast, Flat and Philanthropic : the Houston Half Marathon & 10K is presented by the Houston Striders, an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit focused on community wellness and charitable outreach. We are a metro-wide running club with over 350 active members and have been running Houston since 1985!
In years past, we’ve given over $650K to Houston-area organizations & entities. Recipients include the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Memorial Park Conservancy, the Heritage Society of Sam Houston Park, Houston Wellness Project and Katy Students Run to name a few.
